LAKELAND — When you’re an F school, it crushes your spirit, Kathleen Middle Principal Sheila Gregory said.
But spirits seemed high during a recent visit to the school, which is now a D — two points away from a C.
“‘Slacker school’ is the impression the community and some of our peers have,” Gregory said, “but they couldn’t walk a mile in a turnaround school.”
